Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
My son (he is 18 years old) wanted his clades spray painted from the Chevrolet dealer. Someone in the shop told him to sand them down and bring them in. My son spent 3 days sanding. When we went in the manager gave him a preliminary estimate and said to bring them in the following week. They held them for 3 weeks. When my finance called they said they did not want to paint them and to pick them up. I confronted the general manager of the dealership and the manager of the body shop. The manager of the body shop said he tested the strip and it doesn't come out right and his worker did not want to paint them. They manager of the body shop wanted to take the paint off the test strip and not charge of us anything. I feel my son was mislead and if the paint job could not be preformed they should have told him at the very beginning. I do not want used parts now that are sanded down. Can I request they paint them and finish the job or send them out at their expense? Are they liable to replace them? Pls advise Tu MFavetta
