Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
out of state purchase/ fraud
October 15, 2006 I purchased a $4000.oo custom built drum set from a well known company in Seattle, WA. It was promised for delivery in 4 to 6 weeks. It didn't arrive until May of 2007, and was damaged. Also, some of it was built in the wrong sizes (which are clearly indicated on my invoice), and missing a few crucial pieces. We're now coming up on a year since I sent them payment and I still can't seem to get this resolved through many communications with the head of the company. What can I do? I just need to know where (exactly) I stand, and what course of action can be taken without costing me a fortune or ultimately being futile. Thank you.

In Florida you could file suit in the county court to enforce your agreement. Unfortunately, you may have to sue in Seattle, WA, however as venue would not be proper in a Florida court. I suggest that you repost this question for Washington attorneys to answer.
