Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
I would like to know if I have cause to sue a former employer for slander. This person told a federal employee (EEOC investigator) that I DID steal over $500 in cash and gift certificates. Well, if I had or anyone else had done this, shouldn't the local police have been called to investigate? They were not called and I did not steal anything from them or any of my other former employers.

It does not sound like you have any damages whatsoever and I doubt that it makes any sense whatsoever to sue for slander.
