Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
I am being sued by a third party credit card company in small claims but have not received a summons and according to court records the pre trial is next week. Should I attend without receiving a summons? I don't want a judgement against me but I do not know what the specifics are about the case.

If you or a person in your household was not served who is 15 or older with the complaint and summons, you are not properly noticed (served). I suggest you seek a conference with a lawyer who does consumer litigation to properly evaluate this issue and to see if the case can be beaten. Most of us who handle these cases have never lost a case.
