Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida

tenant rights

i just signed a one year lease on a house-paid first, last & deposit, and today was served a summons as a defendent in foreclosure action on house. I'm sure the owner knew what was coming and entered the lease with this knowledge. can I get out of the lease? any suggestions on how best to get my money back?

Re: tenant rights

You may not need to get out of the lease. Whomever is foreclosing may like the fact that a tennant is there since it generates income. Also, your lease may not be affected by the foreclosure. It depends. Contact the person that is foreclosing to gather more information.
