Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
I traded in my car at a major car dealership, got everything I asked for,signed all the papers. We sealed the deal and I drove the new used car home. Two days later the car dealership called me said they made a mistake with the finance papers and now want me to put a down payment down or they would have to take the car back . Can they legally make me put a down payment onthe car or take the car back when they made such a careless mistake.

No, they cannot, based solely on the facts you have stated, but look at the fine print. Most of the time there is a clause that says deal is not good until financing is complete. This is usually fraud on their part, since they know the financing when you drive away.
