Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
Is there anything I can do about the transferal of my mortgage?
My current mortgage lender has sold my mortgage contract to another company. I do not want to change my mortgage company. My bills are paid on time and there is no good reason why I should be forced to leave a company that I am happy and settled with. I do not want my mortgage transferred to the selected company. If I refuse my business being taken up with the new mortgage company, what will happen? Surely as a consumer I have rights especially if I am not a bad debtor.

Nope. Can't do a thing. The mortgage documentation, if you read it, will give them the right to sell or transfer the mortgage. your only option is to refinance. If you refuse to "allow" the transfer, they will foreclose.
