Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida

travel club benefits misunderstanding

I joined a travel club May 12 '09 with the understanding that we could use the benefits to include our childern on cruises.......I now read in their benefits book that our family is not eligible ......we joined May 12 with an am ex credit card....I would like to cancel the membership and the credit card charge...No other services have been provided since we signed up......does Florida have a cooling off period. or a period of time allowed to cancel a contract of this nature. I have not yet contacted the travel club or Am Ex but expect to do so this a.m to try to cancel the membership and to reverse or dispute the charge

Re: travel club benefits misunderstanding

Contact the company. They will usually reverse the charge if you are not satisfied, particularly if the benefits were misrepresented.
