how can i turn in my toyota with out it ruining my credit?(the toyota is on the recall list)

Generally you will have a balance due, and you must make payment arrangements. You should make that arrangement before returning the vehicle. Note that as long as you are paying, you will not incur a bad credit rating. However, you must make your changes in writiing.
In the alternative, you may be able to return the car under your local Lemon Law.
