Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
unpaid bills
have been unemployed since may 08, have about $18,ooo of debt. i have been getting calls from a loan inst, threating to push legal action aganist me. i am collecting unemployment compensation of only $263.oo weekly. seperated from my wife(house is in her name) and live with father, who is 89, collecting social security. what canthey do legally to me at this point

The companies and or their collection companies can sue you and obtain a judgment. Even though you may not be collectable now, you may be later.

At this point in time, not very much. But, the judgent is valid for a long time.
