Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida

Would it be worthwhile to sue my college for causing me pain and anguish over dragging out the doctoral process and providing no feedback? My chair of my committee takes days, even weeks to answer my emails. Getting him by phone is a joke. I worked day and night to finish this summer...turned in my completed dissertation 5 weeks ago...no response at all. I have emailed and called to leave messages. I also worked for 2 years on one topic to be told too much research had been done on my topic...so had to switch topics. No training on writing the dissertation. My two statistics classes were taught by non-stats professors. Yet, I am supposed to know what they didn't teach me. There is now help available but an hours drive one way from my house, so after working all day, it is not possible for me to take advantage of this service. When I did manage to go, I was told short responses without full explanations. This is just the tip of the iceberg and I have suffered more than anyone should suffer but I have student loans so have to finish to make paying back the loans possible.
