Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida

Two years ago company (A) installed a stereo in my car. Never ever had a problem. This stereo was stolen in Miami and all of the wireing was left including the wires to the amp in the rear of the car. Last month I bought a new stereo and amp including instalation from company (B) two hours into the instalation I get a call from the new instaler that stated the previous company had punctered my gas tank when they installed the ground wire and that the car now smells like gas. (who punctured the tank I don't know ? ) I was asked to sign the install agreement that stated that the previous installer had caused the damage and refused because I did not know their statement to be true and I felt that it may absolve them from any further responsibility.I finaly got my car but now I must drive it with the windows open due to fumes or get ill. Very dagerous but this is my only way to work (now limited to work and back). I spoke and had meetings with company (B) and they continue to blame the previous persons. company (A) Who is responsible ? I can't afford the repair what and feel bullied . I never had any smell in car till company B got their hand on it.They admit to this. Actions that their installer took caused the fumes to appear. they admit to this. Yet they refuse to take any resposability and certainly got out in front of this quickly. The repair will be inconvienant and cost $900.+ I need case history that may represent this cenario and is small claims the way to persue this in Fl. Thank you

Sounds like company B punctured the fuel tank to me. You can sue them in small claims court.
