Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
I have took a $500 payday loan. I am unable to pay the full amount which now is hire because of fees. I want to make payments but they want all the money up front. I am on 100 percent disability for bipolar and manic depresion. The are threating jail? can they do that? I live in Florida. Thank You!

Make the payments. If they take you to court it will cost them more. You can show the court that you tried to mitigate the damages by making payments and your health situation. The court will probably dismiss the excess charges on the amount and you pay the $500.00 only.
Threatening jail is a clear violation of both Federal and Florida's consumer protection laws. Moreover, many of these places violate the law in terms of what they can charge for interest. Contact a consumer lawyer in your area. It may be free, given the facts.
