Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
62 yr old school teacher being threating by Sallie Mae. Cosigned for daughter's college loans (2 of 4). She defaulted and now being garnished on 2 loans. I am now receiving
daily phone calls and threats of default/garnishments. 128 days deliquent on 2 loans.
Lost home and filed Bankruptcy. Now renting and living paycheck to paycheck. Increased monthly payment last months Spring to $100 month. They want $200/mo. I do answer their calls and talk.
Serious financial problems due to health problems. Have insurance, but still pay for doctor's visits and copay meds for over $450/mo. Any advice. Daughter teaches in N.C.
I teach in Fl....if this makes any difference. Any advice

Until they obtain a judgment against you, they cannot garnish anything. Was this debt included in your bankruptcy?
If this debt was not included in your bankruptcy then re open the case and include it. The only way to remove your name from this is through bankruptcy.
