Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
Under age car purchase
Our son purchased a car as a 20 yr
old in Florida. He was led by the
salesman to finance a used car for 7.5
years. Is this a legal binding sale since
he was under 21 at the time of the
sale?
Thanks

Re: Under age car purchase
The age of majority in Florida is 18, so the contract isn't voidable based on age.

Re: Under age car purchase
Age of majority is 18. Afraid he's stuck with the car.
Now, he may choose to sell it, or even refinance it for a shorter term through his bank or credit union.
