annuity

i was recieving a monthly 15 yr to lfe annuity for settlement of an accident in ms.. after moving to florida i was solicited by singer asset co. to sell them my annuity.

like an idiot i did this. safeco, the payee of the annuity would not transfer the payments to singer so they had me sign on an account in new york with them as a co-owner and send the payments there.how do i pay them back the principle and intrest and get my annuity back, at what cost/

If the annuity was not transferable then the contract with safeco may be voidable. Depending on the particular facts of your case you may be able to file a claim for rescission (cancellation) of contract. Also, if you suffer from any mental disability due to the accident or your mental capacity may be affected by the medication then this may be an additional factor to support your claim.
