Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
auto
my question is I am late on my car payment. I have ask
them to stop calling my job and they continue to do so.
Then they called my dad which he is 84 yrs old and lives in Tampa and I live in Brandon pretty far away. They had him
come to my house and they have been calling him for days
discussing my personal stuff with him. So do I have a case
to sue them? My last paymt was on the 5 of March for
170.00 since I have been out of work I am trying to catch
up. thank you ana

Re: auto
You can force them to stop calling your work by writing them. If you just request it verbally, the law doesn't require them to stop calling your work. The may not give information about your credit status or the status of your loan to anyone who isn't co-signed on your loan.
You can learn more by looking up the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act online.
Re: auto
you may have a claim for violation of the Fair Debt Collection practices act or the Florida collection practices act. Call my office if you wish to look into pursing these claims.
