Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Auto Repossession

What are the legal requirements of a lender in order for them to repossess a vehicle. I am two months behind (one of which the lender has but has not cashed) on my vehicle payment and the lender is telling me they are coming for the vehicle. My loan balance is approximately 11K, I have been paying over $400 a month for two years now and have about 2-1/2 years left to pay. Are they supposed to serve me with legal papers first?

Re: Auto Repossession

Suggest you read your loan agreement as to the procedures involved in repossession. Generally, they can take just it.
