You should speak with the State Attorney's Office and let them know that you already resolved this with Publix when you were informed of the problem. Send them copies of the payments you made to resolve the dispute and they might absolve you of any responsibility. Certainly, you will not have to make restitution again when you have already paid the monies due but they do have the right to require you to go to the class if they insist.
