Bad debts

Can our business list names of the bad debtors in our local small town newspapers,like a last chance to collect before collections?

I have not researched the topic but I would imagine it could have serious implications for you and potential liability for slander or the like. Obviously there is no law directly on point, but if you are seriously considering this project for your business, then you should retain an attorney who can do the legal research and provide you with a viable answer.
