Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

bank garnishment

I had a Judgement from a hospital in Virginia 7 yrs ago.I have lived in Fl for 18 months. My Fl bank account, which is a joint account with my brother was seized by a Va law firm. I never received papers from the court on this action or even that the initial lawsuit was taking place. Is this legal to do?

You may have defenses to the garnishment. I urge you to seek an appointment with counsel....the sooner the better.
