Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

I have a bench warrant in Key West that I just learned about (from 1999). I bounced a check for $35.00 for a water bill (it was cashed after I moved). How can I get this removed from my record completely? I contacted the Key West prosecuting attorney and they will let me pay a fine to clear the warrant but I want the whole thing dismissed. So stupid over $35 check!! The Aqueduct Authority said they do not forward notices, they hand these things directly to the prosecuting attorney office. Had they informed me, it would have been paid like all my other outstanding debt when I moved. I live in Michigan now and don't plan to visit KW in the near future.

If the check bounced, then it was not cashed. Bouncing a check is a felony. I suggest you pay the fine and move on.
