Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

bill payments

My question is this: divorced, but one of the bills my ex was paying that was made on my credit card has stopped. the company tried to contact him not me for payments of a year. they contacted me the amount when she stopped was $900. now the amount they want is over $1700. We are in mediation on the amount due. am i still responsible for the total amount due or should I be responsible for just the balance since she was making the payments when she used the card in my name? Thanks

Re: bill payments

You need to ask the credit card attorney how did he or she come up with the $1700 if only $900 was due a year ago. Are you in suit? You need to find out this additional information. It cannot be interest in just one year.
