Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
Chase returned a deposited check because they said the signature was irregular. I can see a copy of the actual check online as well as previous checks. The signature on the check looks exactly the same as every other check I have deposited there. They are now charging me a $12 return on top of that. Now I won't be able to pay my bills and will get late fees. This is not fair. I did nothing. My bank is suppose to protect me from identity theft not steal my money. Is there anything legally I can do about the situation?

Take the check and several copies of the others to the bank - speak to the bank manager - show your evidence. They will more than likely dismiss the action and refund your fees.
