Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

In a Civil matter, can a Company, sue for Collections in (2) Different Counties, for the same matter?? I lived in Broward County--told Attorney, I moved to Palm Beach County---they changed Attorneys, re-filed in Palm Beach County--received notice, from Court---Now..received notice from Broward again???

No. It sounds to me as though the attorneys who sued you in Broward neglected to dismiss the case against you there. The place where you should be sued is Palm Beach County. Write a letter to the attorneys who sued you in Broward County. Keep it professional. Point out that they brought suit against you in Broward County (give them the name of the case and the Broward case number), that you contacted them and told them that you moved to Palm Beach County, that the creditor changed attorneys and the new attorneys have now sued you in Palm Beach County (give them the case name and the Palm Beach case number), and ask them to dismiss the Broward case as soon as possible. you should receive a notice of dismissal from the Broward clerk of Court. make certain you keep a copy of the letter until you receive the notice of dismissal.
