Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
I have a collection agency that is contacting me about a debt I believe is settled. The debt is more than five (5) years old.\n\nAre collections / credit companies required to give me any information?\n\nSpecifically for example: payment and charge history, original signed contract, copy of bill of sale as to the purchase of the debt, etc?\n\n

Yes, they are. see www.ConsumerLawyerHelp.com for sample letters. If debt is 5 years old, statute of limitations may have run, depending on contract, if any.
