Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
collection agency
A person from William dean & Ass. I dentified himself as Jason ***** called my house asking for niece stating it was a criminal matter and there will be a process if I did not contact him by a certain time. The call came from Florida and that is where my niece lives. He has since called my nieces place of employment 12 + times and even spoke to her boss and is calling corporate and revealing her debt info. He is stating that she will be in jail before the day is out. She owes $600.00 to a cash & go. Waht can she do to get this man to stop calling and threating. And putting her job at risk.

Re: collection agency
Wow. The debt collector has violated state and federal law. Each time the collector makes contact, the call should be noted with the date, time, content, names of parties to call, etc. This will be useful to make a counterclaim against the collector. The collector's name and address should be noted so that an attorney can get in touch with the creditor immediately.
If you would like me to contact the collector for you, please contact me at your earliest convenience. I believe that my phone number is on my profile, or I can easily be reached by email. Furthermore, I have very detailed information on dealing with debt collectors at my website under the consumer law subject heading on the right - visit www.lawrefs.com.

she may have a claim against the company for violation of various debt collection practices acts. Have her call me if she may want to pursue her claims. Thanks.
