Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Collection Calls

Is is possible for a lay firm to continue calling a specific number or series of numbers if they have been informed not to call. This is in regards to a dept that was addressed in court, however the firm would not willing accept the payment arrangement I offered and asked for something outside my capabilities as a single mother and Head of House. The firm is now calling my boss, hr, old extensions, and any other number even after being told by numerous people, including myself, that it is not allowed. I have told the firm this is harrassment and they say they will continue to call anyone until the dept is paid.

Re: Collection Calls

sounds like possible violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act or Florida COllection Practices Act. Please call if you wish to pursue these claims further.
