Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

I cosigned on some student loans for my son. He graduated but cannot find any work yet. As a cosigner I have been receiving a lot of collection notices. I am working and have no problems but cannot afford to take on extra bills at the present. In the notice it says that as a cosigner I have certain legal rights in the collection of debt. What can I do as a cosigner and what are my rights.

As a cosigner, you owe the debt. You are responsible if your son will not pay. He needs to try as best as he can to get a job, any job, and start making payments.
