Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Credit card charge

I called and made a room reservation at the Sheraton Hotel for my son in the amount of $199.96. When I received my credit card statement they charged an extra $200 because they said he smoked in the room. He saId he smoked only on the balcony. Can they charge my credit card for the extra charge without my knowledge?

Re: Credit card charge

You need to look at the agrement for the room. If it says they can if he smokes in the room and or balconey, you are stuck. You can of course contact your credit card comp and refuse payment and fight it.
