Under Florida law, a judgment debtor's wages may be subject to garnishment unless the debtor is head of family. To be head of family, the debtor must provide 51% or more of the support of a dependant.

While a debtor can consent to a garnishment, it is not required. The garnishment is by court order.

We will be having more information about garnishments added to our website this Friday, if you want to get more info. Check www.LaBellaLaw.com.
