Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

A credit card company is suing me. I am going to try to settle. In the event that we do not settle, they will have a judgement on me for $2000. My question is: can they take my car?

No all suits by credit card companies are won. In fact, I have not had one win a case yet againtg one of my clients. You should see a consumer lawyer in your area to determine if you have ligitmate defenses to your case, but do not wait, and do not give the credit card attorney any personal information. If you speak to the credit card company, do not release your bank information or any information re your assets or employer. Do not sign documents where they can take money from your account. Never agree to a plan of payment you cannot keep, especially if you default and the agreement says that a judgment for the full amount and fees can be awarded against you. Finally, if you are sued, see a consumer lawyer in your area. For a consumer lawyer in your area, go to
