credit card debt

My brother has about $17000 in credit card debt which he cannot pay anymore. Can the creditors take his Florida home where he resides and which he owns outright. The home is worth about $70000

No, his home is protected under the Florida homestead laws and cannot be taken by a creditor. His personal belongings and vehicles are not similarly protected.
