Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

credit card debt

I used to live in CT more than 3 years ago i had a credit card with an unpaid balance, I had to move back to miami and forgot all about this now i am getting noticed of a $3,000 debt on my name now if they claim to have sent me bills to my old adress in CT and after years all the interest has added up, what can or should i do about this? Is there some way i can retalliate myself or reduce the monthly payments? please help.

They may accept a settlment offer. If you are sued there may be certain defenses available to you, however a review of the specific facts of your case is necessary for an adequate legal opinion.
