Credit Card Misuse by employee

Im a buisness owner and gave an employee of mine a amex card to use for buisness expenses. I recieved my statemtent and there are a few charges on it that equal appx, $3,000 that have nothing to do with work. Is there anything I can do, or am I liable since I gave verbal consent to use the card?

You probably owe the credit card bill. You may have a claim against the employee for improper use of the card.
