Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Credit Card responsibility

Last year my wife passed away. She has a credit card in her name only. I have been making payments on the card, but, since this an unsecured debt, am I liable, or can I tell the credit card company that she is deceased and to close the account?
