Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

credit card and being served

I am in major debt over several credit card companies recently I have been served by the corts from two of these creditors. Is there anything that I can do legally to help out myself when I become served with papers by the courts? What type of attorney can I posibly hire to help defend myself legally?
