Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Credit card.

Five years ago I notified the credit card company of my husbands death. The card was in his name not mine but I have continued to make the monthly payment ever since.

Am I obligated to pay this debt ? I'm 72, disabled and only have SSI to live on and the payments are very hard to make. What will happen if I stop making them ?

I appreciate any help you can give me.
