Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Credit inquiries from credit file-Equifax

How can I get credit inquiries off of my credit file?

Equifax tells me they will not investigate or remove them even if I did not authorize them.

What can I do to force them to do so?

They wrote me a letter stating that they had investigated all of them, but we KNOW this is a LIE, as we called many of them and told us they had not been contacted by anyone!!!

Re: Credit inquiries from credit file-Equifax

Your question is not sufficiently specific to permit an answer. If you are asking if the entity which requested the credit report without your authorization has a possible liability to you that answer maybe yes. To make that determination a consultation would be needed.. If your are in my vicinity call for an appointment. The initial 15 minutes will be without obligation.

I'd sue! But you're barking up the wrong tree going

after Equifax--their only the messenger, reproducing

information given to them by a creditor. They do

not change anything that the creditor provided. If

the creditor withdraws or corrects the information

however, they will make the change. The place to

apply pressure is therefore directly to the creditor.
