Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

My dad (86 y/o) supposedly co-signed an auto loan for someone who didn't pay the loan & got the car repo'ed a couple years ago. He is being sued by the creditor, complete with a summons being served to my address. Dad passed away a year ago.

Can my dad or his estate still be sued as a co-defendant despite being deceased?

Dad can't. Its possible his estate can, but it may depend on the terms of the loan and whether he had a probate estate. I hope you did not accept service for dad. If you did, you should file a motion to quash service. Google it. If he has or had a probate estate, talk to the PRs lawyer asap.
