dead husband debts

my husband died recently am i responsible for any of his debt. he did not own a home or land nor money. i became the beneficary of his insurance policy, as his beneficary am i to use what was left me at his death to pay his bills

His estate (if any) is responsible, not you personally. Life insurance to you is not part of his estate.

Your husband's estate is responsible for payment of his debts. If the estate has nothing, it cannot pay anything. The life insurance proceeds paid to the named beficiary (provided it is not the estate) are not a part of the estate and are exempt.
