Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Debit

First let me say we are refinacing our home and taking out some money to pay this debit off but it takes time. my husband got a call from a collection agent telling him since he had a credit card they could legally put the debt we owe on this card. This credit card was issued to him from his job with him as a authorize user are they telling him the truth?

Re: Debit

The collection agency cannot put a charge on your credit card to pay the debt you owe. Suggesting that you do so is perfectly acceptable.

The card is issued for your husband's use for business related expenses that he incurs as part of his job. This debt is clearly not a business related expense, so if you used the business card to pay the debt, your husband stands a very good chance of getting canned.
