Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

I decided to purchase a vehicle through an auction through a business that was going to purchase a car for me. I signed a contract stating all the details about what car, how much i was giving, and the fee amount for purchasing the car for me . I canceled the deal and the man told me he would give back the money i paid when i signed the contract which was $2,400.00. It has been 4 months and the man still has not paid me back. I called the company he was representing and the owner said he does not know who the man is. I want to sue for my money back since it is taking too long. The man signed the contract as well as myself with the compnays contract. Since the owner said he does not know the man who i made the deal with who do i sue? The company or the man i dealt with? Considering the fact that a friend of mine purchased a car from him and signed the same contract and received a tag and all the documents for the purchased vehicle under the companys contract which is the same one i signed. The owner said he does not the man BUT how doesnt he know him if my friend has documents from that same company? Who do I sue?

Please and Thank YOU. Help is needed
