Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
I have a default judgement against a former tenant. They were nowhere to be found to be server so the courts went on without them. They recently moved to Orlando. (The judgment is in Indiana) I know that they only bring in around $1500 a month they have 4 kids and are on Public assistance. I dont want to have to go to Florida to get my money. But I was awarded garnishment in my home state of Indiana. I dont know the laws in Florida. I just want to know if its worth the $2900 I was awarded to go after them in florida. They also have no assests. Not even a car or bank account.

You would need to hire a lawyer in Orlando to conform the judgement and then try to collect the judgement. The cost may not be worth it. Maybe just hire a lawyer in Orlando to write a letter to them will be enough.
