Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Dept law suit

Can a credit card debt that was opened in 2000 and been delinquent since'03 result in a lawsuit and garnish my wages? I was served with the paperwork for a lawsuit but am wondering if they could actually garnish my wages after winning the suit? Please help, I'm so confused.
