Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Descrimination on credit approval

I was denied for a car loan. applied again for a home improvement loan of 3,000. Was told that credit was not good. said that they would get into trouble with auditors if i was given the loan. 5 months later was approved to take over pymt. for a jaguar. was told that i had very good credit at that time. found out the loan officer and car owner were friends/ A favor was done but not on my behalf. tried to trade back in for another car 7 mos. later. I was denied. I also had to put a lot of money in to fix the jaguar. if I had very good credit, why was i denied?

Re: Descrimination on credit approval

It appears, on the basis of your statement, that the credit you received was as an accomodation to you rather than on the fact that you had good credit. Perhaps it was a sham. You seek counse, have a consultation, bring all the papers relating to the transaction. Thereafter a proper assessment can be made. You may be entitled to remedies. But on the scant information you provided I am unable to give a definitive reply.
