Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

I am disabled, on social security for over 15 years and have been served with papers to go to court for an old credit card I never paid off. Is there anything I can do to get out of this without having to go to the "pre-trial mediation." I have no savings, I don't own a home or a car (and I don't drive...very mobility limited, mostly wheelchair bound.) All the money I get monthly is my Social Security Check and I also receive monthly food stamps.

Go to the pre-trial mediation. You are judgment proof. They can not take your SS. When they see you are judgment proof they will walk away.
