Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Disclosing Spousal Information regarding a my debt before marriage

I received a second court order notice regarding a previous credit card debt of mine before my husband and I were married. It also includes a Fact Sheet which asks for my husband's personal and income information, any real estate I may own or am buying. I have a couple of questions: do I have to disclose any of my spouse's personal and income info? Also, do I have to disclose info regarding my assets. However, my home/mortgage is in my Husband's name. Do I have to provide this info also? Basically, is my husband held liable for any credit card debt that is in my maiden name before we were married and any assets currently in his name?

I would not disclose any information regarding your husband. You should apply to the court for a protective order with regard to those items. If there was no hearing, request one. Best is for you to retain counsel to assist you.
