Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
Former employer suckers me out of $24,000, then fires me!
My former employer offered to move me from upstate new york to florida with a good emplyment package. When I sold my home in new york he told me he had a way for me to get out of paying capital gains tax. Sign a ''junk'' promisorry note, have my atterney give him the money, he'll give it back to me making it dissapear in the millions of dollars that he has going in and out of his acount. when he got the money, he needed it for a little while, then I asked for a promissory note and after he gave it to me, I was fired and now refuses to give it back. Then I find out I would not need pay capital gains because I lived in the house I sold for five years. He says if I start any trouble, he'll deduct what he thinks he should for moving me to florida, and my overpaid salery, and give me whats left when he feels like it. I have two small children and a wife to provide for, with no job, no money, I can't afford help. Then he makes aligations to everyone in the circle of contractors we worked with that I tried to start a house we were building on fire. saying i wanted to kill him. yet the police were never called, I think he was just trying to validate his firing me to everyone. Someone please help, there's lots more to this story.

I would call my friend attorney Myron Samole at 305.670.5070. You may have a cause of action, but this is not my area of law.
