Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
I engaged in a contract with Super Media for a phone book ad, online ad, and a ad in their supplemental directory. Both ads in the phone books were not properly placed nor was the proofed verbage correct, the listing that was supposed to be in the supplementary books was not placed at all. I attempted to contact Super Media on several occasions via e mail and telephone to no avail concerning this matter. They would not return our e mails and just kept sending bills for the full amount of 2 accounts. I agreed to settle with them for 50% they then gave me 50% off one ad and not the full balance, I spoke with a accounts manager at super media he said he would get back with me. The next persons to contact us was a collection agencyu who turned the debt ove to the credit beurea and lowered my credit score. Now a agency is calling me to collect the debt posing as a law frim which their not. Do have recourse in this matter? They are calling me evceryday 2 to 3 times per day interuppting our business operations. As well as the ad doing the same
